This book compiles 8 press conference transcripts and 10 post-speech Q&A sessions from Ambassador Liu Xiaoming’s 11-year tenure as China’s Ambassador to the UK. It also includes his 2023 exclusive interview with TASS Deputy Editor-in-Chief during his European visit as China’s Special Representative on Korean Peninsula Affairs, along with his dialogue on China Media Group’s “Conversation with Lu Jian.” Confronting challenges head-on, Ambassador Liu refuted fallacies, clarified facts, and presented China as a trustworthy, amiable, and respectable nation to the world.

作者簡介
劉曉明
畢業於大連外國語大學，獲美國塔夫茨大學弗萊徹法律與外交學院碩士學位。1974年開始外交生涯，先後在非洲、美洲、亞洲、歐洲四大洲常駐，曾任外交部北美大洋洲司副司長、駐美國使館公使、駐埃及大使、甘肅省省長助理、中央外辦副主任、駐朝鮮大使、駐英國大使。現任中國政府朝鮮半島事務特別代表、外交部外交政策諮詢委員會委員。
曾獲美國弗萊徹院長勳章、朝鮮民主主義人民共和國一級友誼勳章、美國弗萊徹1947屆紀念勳章、英國四十八家集團俱樂部中英關係傑出貢獻終身成就獎、英國諾丁漢大學榮譽法學博士學位、英國倫敦金融城榮譽市民、英國哈德斯菲爾德大學榮譽博士學位。
著有《尖銳對話》《大使講中國故事》《有問必答》《大使講中英關係》。
Liu Xiaoming
Graduated from Dalian University of Foreign Languages with a major in English and undertook further studies in the United States, obtaining a master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 1983.
Liu Xiaoming started to serve as a Chinese diplomat since 1974, acting as Deputy Director-General of Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Chinese Embassy in the US, Ambassador of China in Egypt, Vice Minister of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of China in the DPRK and Ambassador of China in the UK. And Liu Xiaoming presently serves as the Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs and Member of Foreign Policy Advisory Committee.
Liu Xiaoming has been awarded the Fletcher School Dean’s Medal of the US, the First Class Friendship Medal of the DPRK, the Fletcher Class of 1947 Memorial Award, the 48 Group Club Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to Sino-British Relations, Honorary Doctorate of Laws from University of Nottingham, the Freedom of the City by the City of London Corporation and Honorary Doctorate form University of Huddersfield.
He is the author of Sharp Dialogue, Tell China’s Story, No Question Unanswered and On China-UK Relations.
