These risks may threaten personal safety and property, jeopardise national interests, and ultimately undermine the security of society and its individuals. Therefore, safeguarding national security is essential to protect vital national interests and ensure the safety and well-being of every citizen.
Proceeding from basic to advanced concepts across diverse domains, the textbooks elucidate the Holistic Approach to National Security through vivid historical and contemporary cases from China and abroad. This methodology enables readers to develop a systematic understanding of the essence of national security, its key components, its impacts on individuals, and the approaches to safeguarding it.
